Jeonju (전주)

1. Jeonju Hanok Station

It is definitely a must-go when one's at Jeonju. It's an area surrounded with the traditional Korean cultures, from food to costume, Jeonju Hanok Village is definitely a good place for foreigners to get some insights of what Korean Traditional culture is. Over here, you could rent a Hanbok (traditional Korean clothings) and walk around the village and take some great photos with it too!

2. Jeonju Gourmet (ft Goong, Kkotdam House)

One should not miss the chance to get a taste of the traditional Korean cuisine at Jeonju. Goong ('Palace' in Eng), is a place where you could enjoy fine royal cuisine and get some idea of what the royal families used to eat.

While Kkotdam House(꽃담집) is a famous tteokgalbi (meat petty) restaurant in the Hanok Village. Meat petty put on top of hot sizzling pan grilled to cook, it's definitely a must-try in Jeonju too.

For more infos regarding these two restaurants click here.

3. Jeonju Traditional Culture Centre

Want more insights about the traditional culture of Korea? This centre is a one stop that provides hands-on experience on the traditional Korean culture.

We received the tea ceremony lesson from the professional. The sitting postures, tea manners, the tea ceremony procedures, each was explained so detailed and it was really a good first hand experience to learn the Korean culture.
