3D2N Chungcheongbuk-do Itenary

So I was lucky enough to join my fellow Wow Korea Supporters friends for 3D2N Chungcheongbuk-do tour last week. Chungcheongbuk-do (충청북도) is a province located at the center of South Korea. It's strategic location makes it convenient for travelers to travel from Seoul, or go further down to cities such as Daejeon, Busan etc.
Transportation:
One easy way to get to Chungcheongbuk-do will be by bus Dong-Seoul Bus terminal (동서울버스터미널) to Gwesan Bus Terminal (괴산시외버스공용터미널), which takes about 2 hours, at the price of approximately 10,800 won (price based on 28th Oct 2017)
The following was our itenary during our trip in Chungcheonbuk-do (we mainly focused on Danyang, a small city in this province)
Some MUST SEE/EAT at Cheongju and Danyang: (Danyang focused)
1. Dodamsambong(도담상봉) and Seogmun (석문)
Dodamsambong (sam= three, bong=peaks) are three stone peaks located at Namhangang River, Danyang. Each stone peaks represents a character; The big rock is called the Janggunbong (Husband Rock), the rock on the left is called the Cheopbong (Mistress Rock) and the other stone peak on the right and turning away from the big rock is called the Cheobong (Wife rock) and together these 3 rocks represents a story—the wife turning away from her husband when he chose to be with the mistress in order to secure a male heir.
Seogmun, (石门= Stone Gate) on the other hand is located at a hill just 200m away from the Dodamsambong, where the stone formed appeared to look like a gate. One could observe a splendid river view from this rock ‘gate’.

2. Gugyeong Traditional Market, Danyang (구경시장)
If you are a garlic-lover, you SHOULD pay a visit to this market. Danyang is actually famous of black garlic (흑마늘) or garlic in general, so food you could find in this traditional market are basically all garlic-related: garlic galbi, garlic sundae, garlic fried chicken etc. and they are all SO GOOD!!! (I personally recommend the garlic sundae and garlic fried chicken, A LOT)

3. Manchoenha Skywalk (만천하 스카이워크)
Mancheonha Skywalk is the spot that one could enjoy the magnificient sky view of the small Danyang city. No worries on the walk uphill to get to the skyview deck, travelers could hop on a free shuttle bus at the entrance of this skywalk park.
(Note: There might be a long queue for the shuttle bus during weekend or peak seasons.)

4. Chunju Lake Cruise (충주호)
Chunju-ho is the largest lake in Korea, and it has become a famous tourist spot of the region. Tourists can enjoy the beautiful nature view (for example the Woraksan Mountain) by taking a ferry from the main ferry docks. (eg; Chunju-dam) [The lake cruise will be an approximately 1 hour course]
